Advanced and thorough
Each available molecular technology such as qPCR, Sequencing, and NGS serves a distinct purpose to support your strategy for delivering personalized healthcare.
qPCR – quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction
qPCR is particularly useful when monitoring patients previously found positive for translocations and/or gene expressions. Periodic testing enables physicians to better evaluate a patient’s response to treatment over time.
Sanger – Bidirectional Sequencing
Sanger sequencing represents the gold standard in DNA sequencing and fragment analysis by capillary electrophoresis. Bidirectional sequencing is useful in the identification of single point mutations as well as DNA insertions and deletions.
Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS)
NGS allows for rapid and comprehensive genetic profiling of patients. The results offer an understanding of molecular pathways, and where relevant, associated resistance and sensitivity mechanisms; providing physicians with a more personalized approach to therapy.
Applied Diagnostics leverages our Molecular Program as a complementary piece to complete patient diagnosis. When Molecular testing is necessary to get the right answer... we use it.
The use of these three molecular platforms together with core testing options (morphology, IHC, Flow, and cytogenetics/FISH) provide physicians with a fully integrated approach to cancer diagnostics; ultimately improving patient care, from initial diagnosis to therapy selection.
