ADx Blood Comprehensive blood analysis for hematolymphoid malignancies and disorders. Includes a Case Summary report integrating professional pathology interpretation and result findings from smear review, flow cytometry, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), cytogenetics, array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH), and molecular genetics, including PCR, Pyrosequencing, Sanger Sequencing, and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), as deemed medically necessary by Applied Diagnostics’ Hematopathologists and in consultation with the referring physician.
Shipping and handling
  1. Peripheral Blood: 4-5mL in two (2) sodium heparin (green) top tubes AND 2-3mL in EDTA (purple) top tube. A minimum of 7mL of blood must be provided between the three (3) tubes.
  2. Peripheral Blood Smears: Two (2) to three (3) bedside smears. If smears are not provided, Applied will make smears from included material.
  3. Allow smears to completely air-dry prior to placing in slide cassette(s). Include 2 patient identifiers on each slide.
  4. Hemolyzed, frozen or clotted samples not accepted.
  5. Place refrigerated cold pack in kit. DO NOT allow cold pack to come into contact with samples.
